Known as the 'Costa del Golf', in this part of Spain it's difficult to avoid the courses.

With 45 courses up and down this part of the coast (four of them ranked in the top ten, worldwide), the Costa del Sol is a golfer's paradise.

The incredible climate of the area - an average of 320 days of sunshine per year - means you're almost guaranteed a great day out.

Calahonda

A popular holiday destination, Calahonda is a small, coastal town between Malaga and Marbella.

With three 18 hole courses within a short drive and one 9 hole just down the road, you are ideally situated to explore this golf-mad part of the coast.

There's also plenty of night-life to enjoy. Walk in either direction from your apartment for restaurants, bars and night clubs, or take a short cab-ride down to the center of town.

You'll be spoiled for choice.

Golf Courses in and around Calahonda

A number of golf courses either in Calahonda or are within just a few minutes drive.

The three great course we have chosen, Miraflores, Calanova and Cabopino, are just outside the town.

La Siesta, a short, 9 hole course is a ten minute walk from your apartment, and a couple of miles down the coast are the two courses at La Cala (we'll be including these courses as option, soon).

Venturing Further Afield

If you want to explore a bit, Calahonda is an idea place to start.

Just 25 minutes down the road is Marbella, the world-famous playground of the rich and famous. Enjoy a drink in the marina amongst some utterly incredible yachts.

Or just ten minutes away is Cabopino. Think of it as Marbella's little brother. A great little harbour with bars and restaurants.

In the other direction is Fuengirola, the classic party town. You're guaranteed a great night out on the promanade - if you're not too tired after the day's golf!
